Lewis Logan was one of two other
soldiers who joined the 1st Connecticut Heavy Artillery (although when it was
mustered it was the 4th Connecticut Infantry) with Charley
Goodyear. The other soldier was Henry
Howe He is also a nephew of F.W. Gunn. It is not clear
from any information that we have found that would indicate him being related
to the Logan family whom Charley worked for as a farm boy during his youth. On the other hand, the Logans and Gunn were
related, so Lewis could have been related to the Logans of the Logan farm.
